We said goodbye to the sugars (sugar & dextrose), maize starch, shortening powders (milk and soy) (yes, these gravies are plant-based for our vegans!), artificial colours, anti-caking agents, and vegetable oil. Then we added a whole bunch of favourite herbs and spices.
Unlike seasonings, we needed a functional ingredient to thicken the gravy — otherwise, this gravy would be so damn runny! We have used gluten-free starches (potato starch and rice flour) to achieve this.
